I loved everything about this engagement session. Raul and Kathleen are definitely my kind of people. They are super easygoing, and just plain cool. We met up at The Botanical Gardens in Zilker Park for the first part of the session. I used to shoot there often, a few years back, but it has been a while since I have had a portrait session in that neck of the woods. I forgot about how gorgeous that place really is! For this session I really focused on on using the natural lighting to bring these photos to life. The grounds are so beautiful and well manicured, that it really is hard to take a bad shot there. Pretty much every photo in this series is back lit, and they turned out just the way I wanted them to. Shooting each photo with the quality of light in mind is the way I approach every shoot, but I especially love the colors that were brought out in this specific session. The warm tones and rich greens really make these photos easy on the eyes.
