I have been looking forward to posting these amazing images for quite some time. Travis and Nina are good friends of ours. We were lucky enough to have had a chance to photograph them while on our honeymoon in the Azores. For their photos, we hit up a couple different locations, but our session was cut short due to some bad weather that took over the island. The ones that we got turned out really nice! The first half of the post is their portraits, and the second half, my favorite travel shots from our trip. This place is hands down the most beautiful location I have had the opportunity to visit. We spent about a week there, and had a chance to explore much of the main island, São Miguel. The scenery around the island is unreal. I am surprised that this is not a widely known vacation spot here in the states. The Azores are composed of nine volcanic islands located in the north Atlantic about 850 miles west of continental Portugal. São Miguel is the largest is the largest and most populous island in the Azores. The largest city on the Island, Ponta Delgada is where we spend half of our trip. It is a charming city with cobblestone streets, that was fairly easy to navigate through. Driving around was a little nerve racking at first, but I got the swing of things pretty quickly. The best part about this island is that you could be on the amazing beaches, in downtown Ponta Delgada, and up in the mountains all within a couple of hours. I could go on and on about this amazing place, but I will let the photos speak for themselves. I hope you enjoy looking at these photos as much as I did taking them.
