Brooke and Andrew got married at St. Mary Cathedral and their reception followed at Bob Bullock History Museum. This wedding was such a blast. First we kicked things off at Hotel Van Zandt on Rainey St. for some getting ready photos of everyone. That hotel is seriously stunning. I absolutely love shooting out there. After we wrapped up the pre wedding stuff, we headed to the Capitol grounds for some wedding party photos. The Capitol is located really close to the church, so we were able to spend some time getting everything we needed before heading to the church for the ceremony. If you haven’t visited St. Mary Cathedral before, you must. It is one of the most gorgeous churches in Austin. I love the ambient lighting that the space provides and of course the grand architecture that photographs so well. After the wedding was wrapped up I shot all of the formals and then spent some time shooting Brooke & Andrew’s wedding day portraits. The first shot in the series is most definitely one of my favorites. Brooke’s cathedral veil really made this shot stand out. The image is so grand that I had to feature it first. After we finished up their photos we made our way to the wedding reception. I took some time getting all of the detail shots as well as some photos of everyone at the cocktail hour. This was quite possibly the best reception of 2017. It was a total party from start to finish. Blind Date brought the energy and everyone was on the dance floor all night.
