This is what I love most about being a professional photographer. I have a flair for the dramatic, and I love creating well thought out images that transcend the wedding photography industry. I always talk about the importance of quality of light when it comes to portraiture. This is a great example of that. The quality of light in all of these images is what I try and achieve at every shoot I have. Sarah is a beautiful person inside and out. She put a lot of time and creativity into planning this session, and it shows. Her dress, her style, the location. It all came together perfectly. The first image in the series is a two shot flash composite that required a little more than you may think to achieve the desired effect. The combination of getting a base image, tossing the veil, and applying two full power flashes through a diffuser, made this photo something special. It sounds like a lot, but it only took about 2 minutes and two lovely assistants to pull it off. The last shot in the series (taken in front of Ian’s Chapel) was the very first photo of the day, believe it or not. I thought that with the darker exposure, that it would look best towards the end of the collection. The shoot turned out awesome, and the variety of photos we got really made this collection unique. I am very excited to share them with you, and I hope that you enjoy them.
Sarah & Billy are getting married at Camp Lucy on October 19th, so make sure and keep an eye out for their wedding photos later this month. Enjoy this shoot, and feel free to share them with your friends and family!
