David and Daphne are a super nice couple, and are wonderful to photograph. We met up at the Capitol for the beginning part of their engagement photos. It was one of the coldest days that Austin, TX has had this year, so I have to give them credit for powering through the low temps for their portraits. One of the plus sides behind shooting in the cold, is that many of the regular “Austinites” who are out and about are at home, with their heater on. This gave us a lot more flexibility when we moved on to shoot at The Pflugerville Pedestrian bridge. This spot is one of my favorite locations around, but normally there are people everywhere. We were pretty much alone for the photos, and it was awesome. They had brought these big purple and white balloons for the session, and the shots turned out awesome. It was really windy, so we couldn’t do a few of the poses that we had in mind, but the first shot in the series turned out just right! The wind, the kiss, and the birds gave this photo the goods to show off. I love how it tuned out, and I am excited to feature it at the very top of this post. After the balloon photos on the bridge, we went to this cool coffee shop on east 7th st. called Vintage Hearts coffee. David and Daphne love going to coffee shops together, so they wanted to incorporate this into the session. It was the perfect way to end this awesome session. By this point, my hands were icicles, so the well earned double espresso was a nice end to the evening. Anyways, here are my favorite shots from David & Daphne’s engagement session. Feel free to share this post with your friends and family members!
