I have known Jenny for quite some time now. Before I became a photographer, I was in the restaurant industry. While in junior college at WCJC, I worked at an Italian place in Katy, TX called Hasta la Pasta. Jenny was a hostess (alongside her maid of honor, Carly), and I was a server. We became friends.:) I was honored when she asked me to shoot her wedding. I got to meet Eddie during their engagement photos, and I must say, he is one of the most likeable people I have had the pleasure of photographing. This wedding was a little different than others that I have shot in 2014. The hotel this wedding was in is huge. Its so big, that even though the weather was awful, we got everything we could have asked for without even stepping foot outside. The portraits turned out great, and the party shots are easily some of my favorite from the day. When I say this wedding was different, I meant it. After the family photos, Jenny, Eddie & I went to take their wedding day portraits around the hotel. There were people everywhere. We were limited to indoor shooting because of the weather. No problem though, this hotel is gorgeous. I placed them against marble wall, and set up my lighting. Out of nowhere, a screaming 5 year old redhead made his presence known throughout the hotel lobby. He was excited, and he should be. Staying in a hotel is fun. This is where it gets weird. He runs up to Jenny and begins to stomp all over the train of her dress with his nasty little feet and then he ran away. I was stunned. I didn’t know what to do! Where were his parents? I just looked around and tried to begin shooting again. He then came back and stomped all over her dress again, and ran away! I caught up to him and said “hey, if you do that again, I’m going to tell your mom and you are going to be in a lot of trouble”. He then screamed ” PLEASE DON’T TELL MY MOM!”, and then started crying. Anyways, here are my favorite shots from the day. Enjoy the photos!
