I photographed Hailey’s bridals last month, and I am absolutely pumped to share them! Hailey is a good friend of mine who got married yesterday at the one and only Lost Mission in Spring Branch, TX. She is the venue manager at Lost Mission, and I am out there regularly. We have worked several weddings together, so naturally I was honored when she asked me to shoot her and Jared’s wedding. When thinking about her photos, I knew I wanted to try something new and not typical of a bridal session. Hailey had similar thoughts. This bridal session had it all. Cardboard cutouts of her and her fiancee’s cats (because how else would we be able to photograph cooperative kittens?), snow, a horse, and most importantly, beautiful light. We did a combination of indoor and outdoor images giving this collection a nice balance of look and style. It’s usually a toss up when my clients ask which style of lighting I prefer; natural lighting is a crowd pleaser, but supplemented lighting gives the collection an edge that is hard to compete with. Both are of course awesome. The first shot in the series is one of my faves, because it was totally unplanned. We were shooting in the courtyard next to the chapel, and Hailey asked if we should take photos with the horse. No lie when I say that the lighting was 100% perfect. I was sold. I usually do not blog bridal sessions, but I am super excited to share this collection with you! I have been eagerly awaiting posting these and am finally able to release them to the world since the big day was this past weekend. Enjoy the images, and keep an eye out for Jared & Hailey’s wedding post in the next few weeks! Enjoy!
