Max’s Wine Dive is a great downtown location to have your wedding and reception. One of the perks to Max’s (aside from the Champagne & fried chicken) is their amazing location. The perfect day for a wedding photographer is to shoot a bride and groom’s wedding day portraits in downtown Austin, TX. Max’s Wine Dive is walking distance from Austin’s most famous locations and attractions. Its a dream come true for someone who knows their way around a camera. The first image in this series is a shot taken a couple of blocks from Max’s, in front of the Frost tower. It is a 3 image flash composite taken about 10 minutes before sunset. I love how this shot turned out, and it is a great example of my signature style for wedding day portraiture. Anyways, back to Max’s. It is a great space for an intimate downtown wedding. The lighting can be a little challenging for someone who is not confident using off camera flash, but I love shooting in spots just like this one. Take a look at the wedding ceremony shots below.
Max’s is not just a great spot for weddings. They have a killer wine bar (that I frequent), and some of the best food downtown. here is a snippet taken from max’s website: At MAX’s Wine Dive, we’re all about bringing “gourmet comfort food” to our guests alongside a constantly curated selection of wines from around the world, some of which cannot be found anywhere else, all served with a down-to-earth, rock-n-roll style. MAX’s Wine Dive is a restaurant and wine bar that’s fun, funky, eclectic and a complete juxtaposition that captures the qualities of a casual, industrial feel with a top-notch food and wine program.
Needless to say, this place is super cool. I love to eat there, drink there, and definitely shoot there. Enjoy the photos below. 🙂
