Memory Lane Wedding : Ally & Cameron

Ally and Cameron got married on January 6, 2018 at Memory Lane Event Center in Dripping Springs, TX.  This was my first wedding of 2018, and I must say that I am off to a great start.  This celebration was one of a kind, and I believe the wedding photos truly represent what this day was all about.  I arrived my standard two hours pre ceremony to get some photos of the ladies getting ready as well as some bridal party shots before the ceremony kicked off.  It was a beautiful day, and everything fell into place.  Ally’s Godfather Rob walked her down the aisle.  Rob had recently gone through cancer treatment and Ally told me that it was very important to him that he walk her down the aisle healthy.  The lighting was super nice that day, and I really took advantage of it when shooting Ally & Cameron’s portraits.  The first shot in the series is a two image flash composite that falls right in line with the stylized imagery that I love to create.  Its dramatic, technically challenging, and a ton of fun to put together.  After we wrapped up the photos, it was reception time.  Listening to the toasts are always a highlight of the day.  I love hearing about my clients from the perspective of those closest to them.  Ally’s mother gave a wonderful speech that really explained a lot about Ally & Cameron.  About 6 weeks after Ally and Cameron started dating, Ally went to New Mexico with some friends.  While on the trip she fell off of a horse and broke her hip and pelvis.  After surgery she developed complications and due to her injury she was unable to walk for about a year.  Ally had a second surgery and she experienced some difficult times that most of us will never experience.  Despite Ally and Cameron only being together for a short while, he stepped up and was extremely supportive.  He carried her walker and helped Ally get around for nearly a year.  Ally said that Cameron was a beacon of light and happiness when she needed it most.  That is when her family fell in love with him, and she followed quickly after. Ally said that she wouldn’t do it differently if she had the choice.  Her injury was a big part of the development of their relationship.  These re two wonderful people, and I am honored to have been a part of their wedding day.  Check out the shots below
