Stephanie & Eric had their engagement session at Thurman’s Mansion in Driftwood, TX. I strive for good lighting in every photo that I capture. The quality of light is so important to me as a photographer, that sessions like this one make me ecstatic! This was a quick portrait session. We knew that there was a strong possibility of rain, but we proceeded with the shoot anyways. We had about 50-60 minutes of shooting time, and every 5 minutes, the conditions changed. It was amazing! We started off with some sweet back lighting, showing off the sun rays through the distant storm clouds. After that, we shot in the vineyard and under the some large trees. Finally, the storm arrived, and it did not disappoint. The last photos in the series are very accurate. It was dark, windy, and perfect. I LOVE shoots like this one! We shot until we had to run to our cars to avoid being soaked. We all made it out alive, and I have some awesome shots to prove it.
