Toni & Eric got married on July 11, 2015 at Thurman’s Mansion. They live and work in NYC, which made this wedding extra special. They ventured all the way out to central Texas to celebrate with their closest friends and family members for their wedding day. I met Toni & Eric at The Stephen F. Austin hotel downtown for some getting ready photos, before heading to Thurman’s Mansion. After we made our way to the wedding location, I took some photos of the ladies on the back of the main lawn. Thurman’s Mansion is a one of a kind hill country wedding venue. It is located on the same property as the epic Saltlick BBQ, in Driftwood, TX. At the top of the hill, you can see The Saltlick, as well as the vineyards that make this location so picturesque. I love shooting out there not only because the air smells like open pit BBQ, but because it is clearly beautiful. It is very convenient to not have to venture very far from the wedding reception to get some awesome bridal party and wedding day portraits. There is a big open lawn right out front of the mansion (where Toni & Eric had their ceremony), perfect for family photos, and the vineyards are the perfect location for sunset wedding portraits of the bride and groom.
After the ceremony was wrapped up, Toni & Eric enjoyed their cocktail hour before heading down to the vineyards for their wedding day portraits. We waited until the lighting was just right, and the photos turned out fantastic! After the sessions as over, it was dinner time, and then into the party! This crew definitely brought the NYC energy with them for this killer reception! Big thanks to Ross with Look No Further for delivering the tunes to make this reception a big hit, and to Kristi Treadwell with Joyful Details for making this event run so smoothly.
