Kaela & Brian got married on March 18, 2017 at Vista West Ranch in Dripping Springs, TX. This was a really amazing wedding, and I am very excited to share the photos with you all. I have shot a ton of weddings out at this venue, and this one definitely stands out in my mind. For one, there was the best dove release I have ever witnessed right at the end of the wedding ceremony. The photo almost looks photoshopped with the perfect placement of the doves over Kaela & Brian as they kissed. My camera can shoot 12 frames per second, so I burst fired to get several of the release, guaranteeing at least one good one. I got more than one, but that shot exceeded my expectations.
Upon arriving at Vista West, I ran the day as usual. I checked in with the ladies and got some getting ready shots before anything else. From there, I shot all of the wedding party separately before the wedding kicked off. Right after the Kaela & Brian officially tied the knot, we went into all family formals and bridal party shots. The day was running along great and we had not even got to the portraits yet. I am extremely happy with the way Kaela & Brian’s wedding day portraits turned out. The quality of light in all of the photos is seriously stunning. I had a chance to photograph this awesome couple during their engagements a few months back, and they picked up right where we left off. They are really good in front of the camera. When I pose them, they need little to no adjusting, I just focus on shooting. The first shot in the series is one of my favorites from the day. I usually feature a horizontal photo first, but the perspective of this one really catches my eye. I love the desaturated edit and the depth of field in this shot. I am very proud of it, and am excited to show it off!
