Melissa and Jason got married on September 3, 2015 at Chapel Dulcinea, located about 20 minutes from Austin, TX. Chapel Dulcinea is a seriously beautiful place, and is like no other. It is an outdoor chapel that sits facing the best that the hill country has to offer. I am amazed at how awesome this place really is. Each time I shoot out at the Chapel, I get some really wonderful photos, and this wedding was no different. Melissa and Jason had a very intimate wedding day. The ceremony was beautiful, and the lighting could not have been any better for photos. I photographed the entire wedding with full on natural lighting. You really can’t beat it when shooting an outdoor wedding right around sunset time. We stayed at the Chapel a little after the wedding, and got a few shots before everyone headed downtown for their reception at Max’s Wine Dive. The sun was setting fast, but we got all family photos as well as some solid portraits of Melissa & Jason before it got dark out. My favorite shot from the evening was definitely the first photo in the series. The lighting that was flooding the back of the chapel was so wonderful. That photo was one of many taken with the golden light making a bold appearance. The tricky part about that photo was getting the focus to hold. The backlit sun makes it s little tricky getting a spot on focus point, but the shot came out just right. Here are some of my favorite photos from the day.
