Shooting Soluto & Lolas wedding was a great experience,. This was my first time photographing a Nigerian wedding, and it was incredible! I have never been to a celebration with so much love and energy! Soluto ad Lola got married at the First baptist Church in Midlothia, TX, and the reception followed at The Waxahachie Civic center (just south of Dallas). I was amazed at how many people were in attendance at this wedding. Soluto told me before the ceremony that they had 600 people on the guest list. My guess is that quite a few more people showed up. It made for a really awesome party! With a group that large, there needs to be structure, or else things can get a little crazy. Nosa with Elegant Nuptials did a wonderful job making sure that the day ran smoothly, and that all of the events stuck to schedule and were on time. MC NaMo was on the mic all night and did a wonderful job entertaining the guests and keeping the party moving along. Half way through the reception, I took Lola and Soluto out for a quick 5 minute portrait session. We got a few really beautiful, naturally lit portraits that were a very nice addition to the collection of ceremony and reception photos. The day was so full of events, that it was a difficult to even get them for 5 minutes! I am very happy that we were able to incorporate that spot in the timeline so they could have those photos. With a wedding of this nature, you can only imagine that it was a challenge narrowing down the collection for a blog post. It was a bit difficult, but here are my favorite shots from the day. Enjoy the photos, and please feel free to share them with your friends and family members!
