Sammy & Alexis got married on February 10, 2017 in Dripping Springs, TX. They had their full mass ceremony at St. Martin dr Porres Catholic Church and the reception followed shortly after at the one and only Vista West Ranch. I really enjoyed being a part of Alexis & Sammy’s big day. They are a super nice couple and I love how their wedding day collection turned out. For whatever reason, I decided to include a ton of black and white photos in this blog post. I edited them to be a bit more punchy, and I feel like it gives the post a streamlined layout. Each b&w photo came alongside an identical color version in the full gallery. I arrived about 2.5 hours prior to the ceremony time for some getting ready photos of the wedding party at VWR. From there we made our way to the church for the ceremony. The wedding was pretty early in the day, so the commute between locations was no biggie for timing. After the wedding, I shot all family formals, and then relocated back to Vista West for all bridal party shots, and of course Alexis & Sammy’s wedding day portraits. Right before we started the portraits, I made sure to get several detail shots of the reception area. Petal Pushers did a wonderful job with floral, as always, and the space was designed great. I had not seen VWR set up like this before, so I got a few ultra wide shots of the space to really show it off. The dance floor usually sits against the window wall, but this time, it was located on the opposite side of the space. I am always a fan of shooting different set ups. Aside from photographing new and fresh content when it comes to decor, it gives future brides an idea of what the venue looks like when it is designed with a different approach.
