Catherine and Justin got married on February 21, 2014 right here in Austin, TX. I met with them at The Driskil Hotel early that morning for some getting ready photos and some shots of Justin and his best man before heading off to the ceremony. This was a great way to start the day. Most events that I shoot are PM weddings, but they tied the knot at 11:30 in the morning. After some pre-wedding photos of Catherine & Justin, we headed to their ceremony site, Chapel Dulcinea. I have visited this location quite a few times over the course of my career. It is a one of a kind spot here in central Texas. Every time I shoot out there I get something special. Before the wedding ceremony, Catherine and Justin had their a first look. It was a great moment, and I love the expression on Justin’s face as he sees Catherine for the first time! I have got to say, my favorite shot from the day has got to be the photo of Catherine & Justin ringing the bell in the chapel right after they are pronounced as husband and wife. It turned out perfect! After wrapping up the family photos, we all headed to their wedding reception at Max’s Wine Dive in downtown Austin. Their reception was in the Underground Cellar, and it was really fun. If you have not eaten at Max’s Wine Dive before, you owe it to yourself to do so. Fried Chicken, Waffles & Champagne could quite possibly be the best meal on planet earth! After the reception, we took a 3 hour break, and then shot Catherine & Justin’s wedding day portraits at Butler Park! We got some great sunset shots as well as a few creative portraits to bring the collection together. I chose to feature the first photo in the series because it is so unique. I love showcasing those one of a kind images to make the collection stand out from the rest! I am very happy with the turnout of the collection, and I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I did shooting them. Congrats to Catherine & Justin!!
