Chapel Dulcinea Wedding Photography : Kat and Joe

Kat and Joe got married on January 25, 2014 at Chapel Dulcinea, located about 20 minutes from Austin, TX.  This was an intimate wedding.  The ceremony was beautiful, and the lighting could not have been any better for their post-wedding portraits.  We stayed at the Chapel a little after the wedding, and got a few shots before heading downtown for their reception at Perry’s Steakhouse.  I always love spending a little extra time with my couple to get a great collection of portraits that show them off.   When we arrived at Perry’s we walked around downtown and got some spectacular shots of the newlyweds.  I am a big fan of flash-work, so a nighttime after session in Downtown Austin, is just what I love.   We spent about 20 minutes or so, and came away with an exceptional collection of portraits for Kat and Joe.  My favorite shot from the evening was definitely the shot of Kat and Joe with The Capital in the background.  That photo was shot with my 85mm f/1.4, wide open.  The shallow depth of field and the use of flash really makes them stand out from the soft background.  The tricky part about that photo was timing it so we didn’t hold up traffic. 🙂  Here are some of my favorite photos from the day.  This collection is very portrait driven, so make sure and check out the very last shot!  Enjoy!
