Megan & Joey got married on February 11, 2017 at Lodge at Bridal Veil Falls located in Spring Branch, TX. This was my fourth time out at this venue, and it is just as impressive as the first time I visited it. The day started off great. I arrived about 2 1/2 hours prior to the ceremony for some getting ready photos of the ladies as well as a few shots of the guys. This group was a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed photographing them throughout the day. I had an opportunity to get to know the both of them during their engagement photos as well as Megan’s bridal session leading up to the wedding. I always love shooting for my clients before their big day. It gives me a chance to see what they love, and to tailor my shooting style to their wants and needs.
The bridal suite at this venue is one of my favorite locations to work with. The mirrors and the abundance of light, makes for some really wonderful getting ready photos. About 45 minutes prior to ceremony time, Megan & Joey exchanged letters and prayed together (without seeing each other course). I absolutely love how this portion of the collection turned out. There is one shot in particular of Megan sneaking a peek of Joey. Its definitely one of my favorites photos to date. After the private prayer, it was time for these guys to get married. The ceremony spot at the Lodge is seriously stunning. When they were planning out this venue, a ton of thought went into it. The water falls behind the ceremony site and stadium like seating make this an easy space to photograph. I love the perspective of the bride once the main doors open up. The grand chandelier is the perfect back drop for this monumental moment! After the wedding was wrapped up, I shot all bridal party, family, and Megan & Joey’s portraits. We were pretty tight on time, but managed to get everything we needed just before the sun set. I loved working with these guys, and am excited to share these photos with you all.
