Lost Mission Wedding Photography : Esmer and Ash

I had a wonderful time shooting Ash & Esmer’s wedding at Lost Mission last night.  It isn’t often that I blog a wedding the day after I shoot it, but this was an exception.  Every time that I shoot out there, I get super excited, and I have to share the photos as soon as possible!  Here is a little about the venue (taken from their website): Lost Mission is secluded in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. It is an exquisite, unique environment for entertaining weddings, personal and corporate events. A private road north of San Antonio leads you to an authentic mission chapel and beautiful reception facility surrounded by majestic oak trees. This facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art projection system and sound stage to accommodate live bands or DJ’s. A full commercial kitchen is included to provide the best equipment for the catering staff. Flanking the opposite end of the facility is a full service bar to provide guests with all types of beverages. Lost Mission is a cutting edge facility featuring eco-friendly aspects such as a green roof over the restrooms and a rain-water collection system. Another unique feature is the recycled wood used for the hand made Spanish-style exterior doors. We have researched each aspect of what our guests expect from an event facility, and we have created a special place where lasting memories can be made.  Known for the distinctive Old World Spanish architecture, Lost Mission is a place where you can feel comfortable having an elegant or casual event.

Unlike this morning, the weather was great yesterday.  The light was soft, and the temperature was mild and just all around comfortable.   The ceremony was beautiful, and the after wedding portraits turned out fantastic!   The first photo in the series is a two-image flash composite taken from the back side of the chapel.  The last time I shot out at Lost Mission, I told myself that I was going to shoot from that angle the next time I am out there.  I have taken a ton of portraits from the front courtyard, but I wanted to mix it up this time.  I am very satisfied with the outcome, and curious what perspectives I will get the next time I visit LM.  Bryan Boyd with Lumen Events was the MC last night, and he did a wonderful job keeping the party going.  Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day!  Enjoy the preview!
