Randi and Casey got married at the one and only Vista West Ranch on December 6, 2015. For being a December wedding, the weather felt like a gorgeous spring day. There was not a cloud in the sky and it stayed around 72 degrees all afternoon. I really enjoyed being a part of this wedding. Not only was I shooting at one of my favorite wedding venues, but everyone was so nice and welcoming. I arrived bout 2 hours before the ceremony for some getting ready shots, plus Randi & Casey’s first look. After they saw each other for the first time, we shot all wedding party photos. Right before I was about the shoot the guys, Casey said, “I have one photo request. I want a photo of me and all of my groomsmen drinking milk”. It was easily one of the more bizarre request I have had for a wedding, but i loved it. I’m all about the off-beat, weird stuff that people find funny. I literary called my wife right after the wedding to explain the concept, because I thought it was so hilarious and memorable! After the wedding party photos, we made our way to the ceremony. The lighting was perfect, and the photos turned out really wonderful. Post wedding, everyone enjoyed some cocktails in the Beer Garden, before the reception began. About 15 minutes before sunset, I grabbed Randi & Casey for their wedding day portraits. I’m not exaggerating when I say that the lighting that evening was the best I have had all year. Save the best for last, right? I am thrilled with the way they came out. It was difficult narrowing down this collection, because there was so much to choose from. It was especially hard with the dancing photos. This crew did not let up the entire night! I wonder if any of them woke up in the middle of the night with leg cramps from dancing for such a long time. 🙂
