Sarah and Billy were a blast to photograph! Some people are confident in front of the camera, and others aren’t. Sarah & Billy definitely are! I knew that Sarah & Billy were going to be a breeze to shoot right away. We met up at The new Federal Courthouse in Downtown Austin on December 29, 2014. This spot is wonderful for engagement photos. Kim and I actually had our pictures taken there! The modern architecture offers a simple and clean backdrop, while providing plenty of interesting locations to shoot. We shot there for a while and then made our way to The W Hotel for the “twinkle light shot”. Usually you have to be a little stealth when shooting at this location, but the guy manning the door was super nice! He even congratulated Sarah and Billy on their recent engagement. After we finished up with that location we headed to the Capitol for some park shots, then went to one of my favorite locations in town, The Pflugerville Pedestrian Bridge. Before we made our way to the bridge, we took some shots in the park next to the Power Plant. The lighting was very nice, and really brought out some great color from the fall foliage in the park. This was the prefect location to wrap up this wonderful shoot. The sun was almost down by the time we made our way to the bridge, and the colors of the city came alive. This was my last session of 2014, and I love the way that they turned out.
