Sara & John had their Stonehouse Villa Wedding on April 14, 2018. This was such an amazing celebration to be a part of. The spring is definitely my favorite time of year to shoot weddings. The weather is gorgeous and that was certainly the case for Sara & Johns epic party in Driftwood, TX. I arrived a couple hours before the ceremony for a few getting ready shots as well as some detail photos of the reception space. The ceremony took place next to the reception tent in the back of the venue. It was super sunny and extremely windy that day. I definitely kept that in mind when shooting. With harsh light, quite a bit of post production is required to get the images looking their best. I restored the highlights and brought the shadows back to life in these photos, and I love how they turned out. One of my favorite shots from the day is when Sara was walking down the aisle. Her expression is priceless. After the wedding was wrapped up I shot all of the family photos and cocktail hour. After about an hour of reception time, we stepped out for a few sunset portraits. Once the light softened up a bit, we were able to pull off some truly exceptional shots of Sara & John. Once al of the formalities were finished up, it was party time. It is safe to say that this may be one of my favorite receptions of all time. It was an absolute party! The dance floor was jam packed right at the beginning and did not let up all night.
